The proposed 100 acre township is primarily an exciting and innovative residential project with an emphasis on lifestyle and a more up market environment. It is an intense development that needs careful planning and placement of all facilities. These facilities are intending to service all age groups residing within the site so as act as a reference point for the Oxford team. It is fully intended that following a workshop on the project, a great deal of further refining of the core concept plan will be undertaken in the process of developing a final Master Plan.
Amenities & Features
Park/Picknic Areas - Linked to the walking trail will also be park areas with dining facilities. Park tables and seating and coin operated, electric barbeques. Landscape will be the primary use for shade. but in specific situations. Shelter can be constructed.
Amphitheatre - An amphitheatre is an outdoor theatrical setting, usually with a large semi-circular seating area sloping down to the stage. It is here that performances can be undertaken by local community productions or host stage musicians and actors, or even jazz concerts. This space is ideal for evening performances in the warmer months. It is envisaged that the design amphitheatre is sympathetic and blends with the surrounding landscape.
Seating - It is envisaged that the seating areas throughout the site become multi-purpose, functioning for rest, shade, play and
art/sculpture pieces. Edges of garden beds or fountains are to be wide enough for residents to sit up on. Raised areas are to serve a dual purpose to avoid
duplication of amenity seating.
Water Features - Lake systems will be installed for aesthetic purposes and also fountains and water features. Several fountains will be designed for dual purpose, allowing for children to interact and play and to offer relief from the heat during the warmer months.
Bird Boxes - The smaller eco systems of this site are extremely important to the functionality of the landscape. Bird boxes will be placed throughout the site on specific trees to attract and nurture the animal environment. Offering safe habitats from ground dwelling creatures. It also creates the perfect environment for bird watching.
